Shooting ranges
Spur Outfitters Shooting Ranges include pistol, long range rifle with distances up to one mile, shotgun courses included a skeet course and sporting clay 12 station course, and an archery range with 20+ life size 3D targets, distances from 10-60 yards.
This is a private course but available to the public by appointment. We offer sporting clay shooting the first Sunday of every month (May-Sept) from 9am-2pm for $45/person. This includes 100 clays on a 12 station course. Everyone is welcome.
To schedule a range time, please call (307)329-6505, groups of 4 or more preferred. Firearm rental, ammunition and instruction available by request for additional cost.
Shooting Sports On Our Wyoming Property
In 2006 the Silver Spur Ranch constructed a 10 station sporting clays course for its guests. Over time the course has become popular with the local shotgun shooters of the valley. Since then, we have added 2 more stations, for a 100 round course. Annually, the 4-H Foundation of Wyoming holds the “Platte River Shootout” at our facility; a fundraising event for the 4-H Foundation’s shooting sports program, consisting of a 2 day shooting event involving 120-150 shooters. BBQ’s, Calcutta’s, and a lot of clay shooting takes place during this event. We encourage any of our guests with interest in this event to get involved and support our local 4-H shooting sports program.

Annual Firearm Training
2024 11th Annual Silver Spur Firearms Training
Classes will kick off for the public Saturday, August 10 and run through Saturday, August 17th. Final class schedule, class descriptions, and to register, click the button below.
Trainings provided by John Russo & his staff of Professional Police, Military, and NRA Firearms Instructors. The cost of each session is $50 per person ($200+ value). Firearms & ammunition will be provided for the handgun training only; however, you are encouraged to bring you own.
